Ways to make 10

This week in maths we have been looking at ways to make 10. We have used all sorts of materials to help us with our calculations and are learning to record our thinking. Some children have been thinking outside of the square and have come up with both addition and subtraction sentences to make 10. Others have learnt you can reverse the order of the numbers and get the same result. eg: 7+3=10 and so 3+7=10. Some have used multiple numbers added together to make 10 eg: 2+3+1+2+2=10. Well done Room 12, you are thinking really hard!
