Let me count the ways!

This week we have been working on maths problems that have more than one answer and sharing with others how we got our answer. We have also been writing equations to express  our mathematical ideas.

Today our problem was:
There are two caves. There are 10 bears. How many bears might be in each cave if the bears all seek shelter in one or other of the caves?

Our caves were yoghurt pots and our bears plastic but we had lots of fun working out all the possible combinations of the bears in the caves. How many can you think of??
