Learning our spelling words.

Can we work on our spelling words and have fun at the same time?
Let me count the ways!
1. We can practice them on the teachers whiteboard.
2. We can write them on black paper with white crayon.

3. We can make them out of playdough.

4. We can paint them on black paper using white paint.

5. We can form them using magnetic letters or blocks with letters written on them.

Who ever said learning had to be boring! We are having lots of fun in Room 12!

Whanau fun

Here we are all ready for an afternoon of Whanau team fun. We are in our 4 Whanau colours: red (Rata), green (Kauri), yellow (Kowhai) and blue (Mahoe).
We broke up into our teams for the afternoon, getting to know other children across the school while having fun doing a variety of activities based around the theme of Compassion: what it is and how to show it. Some of us did drama, others an art/craft activity while others did Team building games. Every fortnight we will get together and try a new activity. Bring it on!!

Welcome to the newest addition to Room 12

This week saw the arrival of our new class mascot, a kiwi of course since we are part of kiwi hub! The children democratically decided his name was going to be 'Fluffy' so Fluffy it is!
